Class 1- Introduction to Dental Assisting & Sterilization: 

4 hrs Lecture/ 4 hrs Clinical
General introduction to dental terminology, equipment, sterilization procedures, and hand-piece maintenance. In addition to curriculum, instructors will discuss resume development and teach job interviewing skills

Class 2- Radiology:

4 hrs Lecture/ 4 hrs Clinical
Practice of intra & extraoral x-ray techniques, x-ray safety, darkroom and digital procedures

Class 3- Impressions: 

4 hrs Lecture/ 4 hrs Clinical
Alginate impressions, model pouring and trimming

Class 4- Four-handed Dentistry, Fillings & X-RAY EXAM:

4 hrs Lecture/ 4 hrs Clinical
X-RAY EXAM. Four-handed dentistry, instrument transfer, isolation techniques, suctioning (HVE), local anesthesia, patient positioning, composite & amalgam materials, instruments, mixing, curing, tubs & trays, cement and liners

Class 5- MID-TERM EXAM & Clinical Review:

4 hrs Lecture/ 4 hrs Clinical
MID -TERM EXAM, Review previous clinical and lecture information

Class 6- Crown & Bridge:

4 hrs Lecture/ 4 hrs Clinical
Crown & bridge instruments and materials, making temporary restorations, bite registrations 

Class 7- Dental Specialties :

4 hrs Lecture/ 4 hrs Clinical
Endodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontics and Pedodontics

Class 8- Oral Surgery & Dentures : 

4 hrs Lecture/ 4 hrs Clinical
Oral Surgery, Implants, Partials, Dentures and Prosthodontics

Class 9- Office Management, OSHA & State Guidelines:

4 hrs Lecture/ 4 hrs Clinical
Office management, front desk operation, appointments, billing dental insurance, office management software, OSHA regulations as it applies to dental assisting, dental assisting state guidelines

Class 10- FINAL WRITTEN & PRACTICAL EXAM/CPR:

4 hrs Lecture/ 4 hrs Clinical
FINAL EXAM & PRACTICAL EXAM, final written exam, x-ray practical and practical clinical, CPR course will be held after all exams are completed. CPR certifications will be issued by the American Heart Association
